From committee meetings to our Executive Council meeting to our signature dessert reception, if you’ve been waiting for the right time to get involved, this is it! Our leaders have been working hard on implementing exciting new initiatives, as well as bringing new life to many of our older traditions. The theme for our signature dessert reception this year is Rock the Yacht, and it promises to be a great time for all. The reception will take place on the evening of June 27. So, wherever your dinner plans take you, be sure to save room for dessert, and bring a friend (or two!) to wrap up a great day of meetings with us. The dessert reception is also where we announce our Section’s prestigious annual awards, the James C. Adkins Award and the John R. Hamilton Pro Bono Award. Please be on the lookout for our call for nominations. Recognizing dedication to excellence in appellate practice and service to our community is one of the greatest highlights of our reception. Whether you’re looking for engagement in the appellate community, access to programming that will sharpen your skills, or other ways to take your career to the next level, the Section offers incredible opportunities for development.
