Hello, Appellate Practice Section Members!
In just a week, we will be gathering for our Fall Meeting. We will shake off summer with a lovely Fall Forward Virtual Cocktail Class, led by Special Guest Mixologist Mike Tanner. Thank you, President Tanner, for joining us on Wednesday, October 6 at 5:45 PM to mix and mingle some tasty October treats.
Then we get to work with a day of Committee meetings followed by the Executive Council Meeting. I can’t wait to hear more about our Committees’ projects, and share some acknowledgements and long overdue awards. (And maybe a special surprise announcement!) Check out the schedule and Executive Council Meeting Agenda, linked below, and don’t forget to register in advance to join us.

In closing this message, let’s give a shout out to all of the new members of The Florida Bar who might be looking at this message. Congratulations, welcome, and consider joining us next week to learn more about appellate practice.
The Bar exam is one of those pivotal events in an attorney’s career. The Florida Board of Bar Examiners (FBBE) hopes you will invest some time in the future of the Bar examination by completing a survey that will help the FBBE evaluate what lawyers should be expected to know and be able to do upon admission to The Florida Bar. You also get CLE credit for doing it. Win, win! Check your email for more information on the survey. Click here for the most recent Florida Bar News article about the Practice Analysis and watch this video by Justice Lawson on the survey.
See you in a week!
